This is the BCM Media Group (Au) entry hub for the print edition of “Arts & Science – Quarterly” (ASQ). BCU Lab and Mission Center is a Cocos-Keeling Islands based global policy and analysis unit, producing work products, both short form for ASQ, and independent reports by commission. In honor of the history of the location, originally selected by merchant explorer John Clunies-Ross, BCM aims to continue to kindle the fire of independent thought and investigation. Auxiliary distribution centers are located on the Heard/McDonald Island chain. In the era of “Fake News”, it is up to smaller, locally sourced, media to pick up the slack. BCM Group aims to cover topics in four broad areas:
1. New Media and Pop-Culture;
2. Global Security, Federal and Local Politics (from on the ground, regional contributors);
3. Popular Science;
4. Original Scientific Research (via ASQ – Reports.)
All regional pieces in new media, arts and popular science will be made available in the online edition, prior to being made available in-print. All ‘accepted-to-print‘ pieces are marked with the research/BCM logo, and date of acceptance. Any pieces written by BlockChain/ASQ staff, primarily as a stringer/freelance reporter for any unassociated overseas or online publications, are liable for publication in “Arts & Science” subject only to the terms and conditions of the specific employment contract. All pieces written as an official press officer/representative for BlockChain/ASQ are the property of BlockChain Media, and are automatically accepted into the print edition of “Arts & Science” (quarterly).

All writers are to provide a link to a permanent subject area CV brief, highlighting background/base education for 1) any area covered or 2) that agents are available to be on call for. Failing this, a direct full text list of references/background for a piece, and statutory declaration (where appropriate) declaring the materials read, prior to taking an assignment is acceptable. Materials to be approved by area sub-editor. This list is to be made available to the public before final (online) publication date. The aim of this is to give readers a level of confidence that material has been engaged at a high level.
From 2021 the print edition of “Arts & Science” (quarterly) is now available bi-annually only in the second week of the months of May and October.
